Paint, wax, varnish & oil stripping costs
At our workshop in Lewes, We have two large stripping tanks that are big enough to take large doors and bulky pieces of furniture. The stripping process entails soaking the objects in a warm solution of caustic soda and then pressure spraying with hot water which removes the finish and neutralises the chemical. Most types of wood and metal can be stripped using this process, but please read our Terms & Conditions page.
For more delicate objects we offer a hand stripping service. After stripping and a period of drying we can also undertake finishing and polishing if required. We are a vat registered company and 20% vat is charged on all services and products regardless of the payment method.
We can strip most items be it hardwood, softwood or metal. If you do not see your item in the list below then please call or email a picture of the item/s for a costing.
